Naomi Campbell just came off of a jam-packed week, hosting two major Fashion for Relief shows on either side of the Atlantic ocean with just a few days to spare in between.
On Valentine’s Day last Saturday, she hosted the Big Apple edition during the height of New York Fashion Week and then on Thursday just gone, she was in her native city to host the British edition during London Fashion Week.
The shows are aimed at raising money to fight the ebola outbreak still ravaging some West African countries. As usual, the iconic islandista supermodel reached into her address book and brought out some big stars for the celebrity fashion show with legendary designer Dame Vivienne Westwood and the Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson appearing for the London show.
Naomi was also supported by (and showed support for) other fashion folk of Caribbean descent with a slew of islandistas (and one islandisto) walking in the shows both in New York City and London.
Jourdan Dunn, June Ambrose, new model Chantelle ‘Winnie Harlow’ Brown and Tyson Beckford were among the Caribbean names that appeared on the catwalks at the high profile shows.
